The hazelnut variety cultivated in Piemonte is called “Round and Gentle” and is produced in the provinces of Cuneo, Asti and Alessandria, among the hills of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato regions.

Thanks to its organoleptic features it is considered as the best hazelnut in the world!

Activity description

We shall visit the hazel grove of a small hazelnuts and wine producer. Here you will be explained the hazelnut features, how to take care of the plants, the harvest, and all the curiosities about the productions.

At the end of the grove visit, rich tasting in agriturismo (farmhouse) with hazelnut products and not only: plain hazelnuts, toasted hazelnuts, hazelnut bread with local cold cuts, local cheeses including the outstanding “Robiola di Roccaverano”, hazelnut cake, water, and the producer’s wine.
